What People Are Saying

"I really enjoyed the workshop and found it to be a meaningful, applied learning experience that clearly explained the connection and significance between storytelling and business. The speakers were experienced subject matter experts who enthusiastically shared their professional insights and perspectives into the realm of storytelling."

— Stephen M. Rapier, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Marketing, Graziadio Business School

“The Kinney Method teaches how the proven arc of storytelling in film and entertainment can inform, enrich, and empower our work in law, business, and our personal lives.  We all connect with stories, can transform the hero by saving the dog, and the talented team Christiane and Sean Kinney generously share and connect their insights from trial practice and filmmaking in their “Lights, Camera ...” series to make us better, more interesting, and effective advocates.”

— Maureen Weston, Professor of Law, Pepperdine Caruso School of Law

“These materials are information I wish all screenwriters and creators would have and know … as my roots come from story as a development executive, producer, and consultant in the industry, the concept of narrative is deeply important. It is the connective tissue between us as humans. We are all heroes and protagonists of our own lives. They’ve evolved a methodology for talking about the very core of storytelling, and isolation of those elements of storytelling, to make it manageable and inspiring as a way of beginning the storytelling process.”

— Christina Sibul, Production Executive, “Sideways”; Producer, “Thirteen”

I believe what Sean & Christiane have created with The Kinney Method™ is going to benefit so many people who want to be lawyers, want to help, want to work in communities with disadvantaged people, and who don’t have the resources of big law firms on their side. This will give all lawyers access to the same tools as they walk into the courtroom, as prepared as the six guys in Armani suits across the aisle.
— Ryan Gibson, Screenwriting Professor, Del York; Writer, Criminal Minds
